Stop arming Israel! Stop Israeli terror!

The Houthi Yemeni government has vowed to step up its blockade against Israeli and Anglo-American shipping in the Red Sea following further attacks on their missile bases by Anglo-American warplanes this week. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says that in order resolve the crisis in the Middle East the USA must stop its hostilities and stop vetoing United Nations ceasefire resolutions. The Israelis continue their merciless attacks on civilian targets in the Gaza Strip and Oxfam has condemned deadly attacks on two warehouses in an area the Israeli army has designated as a “safe zone”.

Musical chairs

Another group of workers have announced they are going on strike in protest at their employer planning to sack them and re-employ some for only six months of the year and leaving others even worse off having to rely on ad-hoc freelance work. Their unions will be holding a picket outside their workplace in central London on Tuesday before strike action begins on Thursday.

Fanning the flames

The shameful decision of the Sunak government to send the RAF in to bomb Yemen in support of American offensive against the defiant Arab republic has done nothing for the merchant shipping the imperialists claim to be protecting. The Houthi government that controls most of the country have stepped-up their blockade that’s closed the Red Sea to all Israeli shipping. And the US campaign, ludicrously called “Operation Prosperity Guardian”, has now put the Red Sea off limits to British and American vessels as well.

Preparing for Power?
